CYCLING TOURS TASMANIA

DISCOVER THE ESSENCE OF AN ISLAND...

We are Tasmanians who've been running cycling tours in Tasmania for almost 10 years so we know all the best places to eat, sleep and ride your bike. Let us plan a cycling and food experience that suits your budget. We have numerous tours to choose from that highlight the best that each region has to offer, including a combined road and mountain biking tour or a 5 day MTB add on that can be the grand finale to any road bike tour of choice. Tasmania is a great destination choice for cycling groups looking for a customised trip away together.
FULLY SUPPORTED
All our tours are fully supported with Velo Tours' riders on the road and vans stocked with food & water so you can call it a day at any time.
General Information
Locations: North, South, East & West Coast
Our numerous tour options allow you to ride a full lap of the map of Tasmania, ride down the east coast across 6 days, take in the heritage rain forests of the west coast including a cruise on the Gordon River or challenge yourself on the berms in Derby.
Tour durations: 6 - 12 days
The full lap of the map takes 11 days while both the West Coast Express & Express East Coaster are 7 day options. All tours offer activities off the bike at Tasmania's iconic tourism locations like Wineglass Bay, Cradle Mt, Gordon River Cruise & MONA.
Time of Year: December - March
The most stable weather months in Tasmania are January through to March but November and December can be great too. Tasmania is renowned for experiencing all fours seasons in one day but the weather is far more balanced when you ride throughout summer.
