This amazing tour is not only a cycling experience of a lifetime but also one for the culinary senses as well.  We put as much effort into sourcing the best hotel and dining experiences available per TripAdvisor rankings as we do the best riding in each region which is why this tour is not ony for the discerning rider but for the those wanting a complete cultural experience with a great group of people sharing every amazing moment with you.  

This tour will test any accomplished cyclist as you challenge yourself on some of the most famous climbs in world cycling, including the legendary Passo dello Stelvio, the brutal Mortirolo and the bella of the Dolomites, Passo del Gardena.  With minimal time in the van you will ride most of the way with van support at all times.  You will also get to participate alongside 23,000 fellow cycling enthusiasts in one of the biggest cycling events in the Dolomites, the Sella Ronda Bike Day.

Featuring stop overs of between 2 and 4 nights in Lake Como, Bormio, Corvara and our final two nights in Lake Garda, staying in beautiful 3 and 4 star hotels or high rating B&Bs in prime locations and 3 course meals in great restaurants every night, this tour ticks all the boxes for both cyclists and non cycling partners.

Velo Tours staff will meet you at Milan airport for your transfer to our accommodation in Lake Como.  We will put your bikes together for a short ride before dinner at the hotel restaurant overlooking the lake where you will meet all the members of the group.

We will start our Italian riding campaign with a ride along the lake.  There will be plenty of stops for coffee and photos as well as lunch at a restaurant on the lake shore before another amazing 3 course dinner at the hotel.

Today's we ride part of the way to our stopover in Bormio but not before a ride up to the chapel of the Madonna del Ghisallo and the Museum of Cycling on the way.  After a few hours of soaking up some true cycling history we will continue on toward Bormio with the final 100km in the van.

Today begins our Italian Alpes leg of the tour with the Bormio 100.  This route begins with a climb up the epic Stelvio and then over the top of the Umbrail Pass into Switzerland before climbing back up the Stelvio to descend home to our hotel.  Both sides of the Stelvio in one day - awesome!

Today is a well earned rest day.  There will be a ride offered to those who want it but why not relax in town at the thermal baths or just wander the streets and the visit the many cafes.

Another epic day today conquering two of the most famous climbs in the Alpes region, the Mortirolo and the Gavia.  Our day finishes with a descent straight back into town before a pizza and salad night at the restaurant of our hotel.

Today we depart the Alpes and make our way to the Dolomites.  We will ride up and over the Stelvio through the valley to Merano for lunch and then we will jump in the vans for the remainder of the way.

Our first ride in the Dolomites will be a great little loop that takes in four passes.  We will stop for lunch at a restaurants on one of the passes and dinner will be in town at a restaurant close to our accommodation.

Another great day on the bike riding through some truly scenic countryside.  This is a tough day but you will be pleasantly distracted by the backdrop.

Today is a rest day to rest the legs.  Spend the day in town or take a ride on the cable car or whichever outdoor activity takes your fancy.​

Today we say googdbye to the beautiful mountain passes of the Dolomites and begin our transfer ride to Lake Garda.  Our day starts with two climbs and a great descent into the town of Canezei then it's 100km downhill.

Our final day presents a few options.  A relaxing day in town or one last ride up Monte Velo.  Our farewell dinner will be lots of fun with awards commerating the fun times we've had over the last 12 days.
